Volunteer

There is a lot to do, and almost none of it requires experience. Directors can shadow someone who has done it before. Designers get training. If you can only give a few evenings, tech week always needs hands for props, set changes, hair and makeup — no rehearsal commitment required.

Direct a Show

Have a play or musical you have always wanted to stage? Propose it. The board reads director applications each summer when it plans the next season, and first-time directors are welcome to pair with an experienced one.

Summer Theater Camp

One week, one musical, three professional teaching artists. Campers with the Footliters Traveling Playhouse audition, rehearse and perform a full one-hour musical in five days, with a public performance on the final evening. Dates and sign-up for next summer are announced each spring.

Future Artist Scholarships

Each year the theater awards two Future Artist Scholarships to graduating seniors who live or go to school in Washington County and have shown real involvement or interest in the arts — on stage, backstage, or in any other discipline.
